Testimonials

S.B. - Comfortree is a wonderful organization (read more...)

"Comfortree is a wonderful organization for cancer patients. Vici and Donna and their assistants are very kind and friendly. You not only get to know them personally but they get to know you. After short period of time, you feel like you have known them for a long time. Whenever I knew that Vici and Donna were coming to clean my house, a burden was lifted from my shoulders knowing that I did not have to expend what little energy I had cleaning my house. Instead, I was able to spend time doing something else and taking care of myself. When they were done cleaning, I felt so good knowing that the house was clean and the house smelled so good from the non-toxic products they used. Vici and Donna should be commended for their services and for what they do for cancer patients. They do not just provide a cleaning service, they lift your spirits mentally and emotionally. They are earth angels. K.O."

"During the cancer journey, there are of course mountains to climb, friends, family and strangers try to help the patient in the way they feel best. Some people are there for you to pray with or talk to, others bring food or advice, many bring little *things* or treasures to hold or look at - these collect dust. In the scheme of priority, dust has fallen to the bottom of my list of things to accomplish taking care of. Comfortree has provided relief in this area during the past year for me as my cancer journey has become a ten year battle of continual treatments for me; with, I imagine, the worst to come. I am grateful for all the helpers and friends in my life. Respectfully, S.B."

W.R. - ComforTree has made my life easier (read more...)

"I am writing this to express my appreciation for ComforTree and their assistance in cleaning my house, as they have made my life easier. It is a relief to come home from treatment to a clean house, and one less thing to worry about. I'll never forget the last time that they came out to clean because it was the Wednesday after Hurricane Irene, and they made it happen! ComforTree, thank you for your services! W.R."

Debby V. - ComforTree delivered peace (read more...)

"After so much loss, bad news and financial stress regarding my cancer diagnosis, one of the liasons at my Regional Cancer Center asked if I was interested in having my house professionally cleaned. Oh, and that it would cost me nothing. After checking ComforTree's credentials I quickly replied "yes" before they changed their mind! We set up a date, whereupon Vici and Donna did exactly as promised, they cleaned my house for me. No charge, no strings attached, and I can count them to return monthly during my illness. I am fairly particular about my surroundings, but with feeling sick from the chemo along with a 13 year old son it was difficult maintaining a clean house. To me cleanliness is equal to peacefulness, so in a way ComforTree delivered peace. I thank Vici and Donna for making this difference in my life, in a world of greed they are truly selfless."

Debbie D. - ComforTree has been a God send. (read more...)

I am writing to let everyone know how ComforTree has helped me during my illness. It all started when my mother kept telling me to get a cleaning person in to help me on the weeks that I receive chemotherapy. I procrastinated thinking "I can do it." I was going to Stop & Shop one Sunday and just finished talking to my mother before I went in to shop. As I came to the entrance I saw a table with this banner ComforTree on it. I walked up to talk to the two ladies manning the table asking what ComforTree was exactly. They said it was a cleaning service for people going through treatment for cancer. I was stunned! Here I was just talking about it and here they were.

They explained that they verify with your doctor that you are receiving treatment and then they set up and appointment to come over and clean. I asked about the products they use, because I was having sensory side effects from chemo. They explained they use all natural products that have no smell. Wow, this was getting better and better. I gave them a donation, they gave me their business card and I said I’d have to think about it.

I went home and told my mom. Of course, she yelled at me for not taking advantage of this service. That week when I was at my cancer center getting treatment, I asked one of the nurses if she had heard of ComforTree. She replied that yes she has, and they are a very responsible, caring team who wish to help people in my situation. She told me I should give them a call. I gave Vici a call and set up an appointment . Two weeks later Vici and Donna were at my home cleaning and I MEAN CLEANING! I thought it would be light surface cleaning only. They really clean bathrooms (I have two), vacuuming, dusting, floors and they wipe down all the walls. I was blown away! They clean as if it was their own home. ComforTree has been a God send. I couldn’t keep up the cleaning and they just come in and relieve some to your stress knowing your house is clean.

Anyone receiving treatment should look into getting help with your cleaning. We think we can still do it all and not let our illness get in the way, but it does. If someone is offering help, take it. It took me awhile to accept this and now I can worry about one less chore. ComforTree is there to help.

Yours Truly,
Debbie D.

Rosali Jasinski, RN - Thank You ComforTree for all you do for my patients. (read more...)

My first interaction with Vici and ComforTree was during one of my homecare visits with a cancer patient. My patient was so happy to have the there. They were using all natural products and the place smelled so fresh and clean. Not only did they do a great job cleaning up her place, but they were compassionate as well I have been able to refer their services to many of my cancer patients undergoing treatment at this time. When a patient is diagnosed with cancer, undergoing cheotherapy, radiation and doctor appointments, it's nice at the end of the day to come home to a clean home to find rest and comfort. Thank you ComforTree, for all you do to help my patients b freeing up their tie to enjoy life to the fullest.

God Bless

Robyn Edwards, Psychosocial Counselor at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center ComforTree has been a blessing(read more...)

"ComforTree has been a blessing for some of my patients. When they are sick and tired from chemotherapy or radiation, the last thing that they have energy for is housecleaning. Unfortunately, most people feel more relaxed and comfortable in a clean home, which poses a challenge for cancer patients receiving treatment. It is important for patients to conserve their energy for more important things like healing and spending time with loved ones. By providing free housecleaning, ComforTree allows patients peace of mind during what can be a very stressful time. They are truly angels!!!"

John and Jeanne D. - ComforTree became a ray of sunshine in our lives (read more...)
From John

Jeanne and I met in college and fell in love. We got married, had three children, and moved into our dream house in a wonderful neighborhood. We were living the American dream. Then we were thrown a curve ball. Last year Jeanne was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Hearing you have cancer, no matter how young or old is a terrifying feeling. Jeanne was 38 when she was diagnosed. Being so young we had our minds set that we had caught it early. We soon found out we weren’t that lucky. The cancer had metastized to her bones, which classified her with stage four cancer. Her diagnosis followed a two and a half week visit in the hospital. It turned out Jeanne had lyme's disease on top of the cancer, leaving her bed ridden. It was the most terrifying time of my life. I was taking on her role as caregiver and working fulltime. Juggling our three children’s school schedules, working and then my daily trip to the hospital to visit Jeanne, left no time in the day.

Our friends and family all rallied and supported us tremendously. One of our friends put us in touch with ComforTree. Needless to say care of our house became a very low priority during this time. Shortly after Jeanne was released from the hospital ComforTree began visiting once a month to help get our house back in order.

ComforTree became a ray of sunshine in our lives. Support from our families and friends was overwhelming, but to get support from people you had never met was even more overwhelming. ComforTree provided a service that most people wouldn’t want to take on or even think of during times like these. Their service is provided by a very personable, friendly and supportive staff.

ComforTree played an important part in helping us get our lives as close as possible to normal. Jeanne is now doing much better. Our American dream is still alive; we saw that in the support from our family, friends and ComforTree. We owe a lot to everyone who helped get us back on our feet and ComforTree was the perfect fit.
Thank you,
John D.

Jeanne’s perspective:

When I was diagnosed with Cancer I felt like I was sucker punched. My body deceived me and I was physically unable to do what I wanted to do and what I needed to do. John mentioned all the support and how much that meant to us. I love being an independent person so it was hard for me to accept the help offered, but it was necessary.

ComforTree was organized at a time I needed it most. Our families and friends were doing so much for us already. I did not want them cleaning my house. ComforTree is more than a home cleaning service. They are friendly, warm, and caring. They spread hope and good feelings as well as lifting the burden of housekeeping. I’m not sure why no one ever thought of this before, but it is incredible what ComforTree is doing for those affected by cancer and their families.

J.P. - I can’t thank you enough(read more...)

Dear Vici and Donna,

I can't thank you enough for the kindness you extended in cleaning my house last Thursday. The fatigue from the chemo can be so overwhelming. When I came downstairs after you left it was so uplifting. I look forward to the day when I can help you clean. It means so much.

The new website looks fresh and fantastic. It's easy to follow and very cheery. Great job!

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart,

J.P.

S.H. & K.H. - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.(read more...)

Thank you Vici!! The house looks and smells great.

I can't tell you how much this means to me and my husband. We don't have any family in the area, and we only moved to New Jersey a few months ago, so we really don't know anyone. Since the diagnosis, we have felt so alone. Your helping us makes us feel a little less adrift. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

S.H. and K.H.
